Jennifer McCary is Senior Associate Editor of Wood Bioenergy as well as its five sister publications - all related to the management and use of timber resource. A transplanted Floridian, Jennifer spent her high school years in Jackson, Ala. - dead center of Southwest Alabama’s vast wood basket, though at the time she was clueless to the industry that flourished around her.
Jennifer earned a BS in Marketing at the University of South Alabama, Mobile, Ala. and worked as an advertising copywriter and TV/radio producer 14 years before pursuing a career path in journalism. She joined the H-B staff in 1987 and received her forestry press credentials under the tutelage of her boss and mentor, DK Knight. In more than 22 years with the H-B team, she has visited 32 states and three foreign countries to report on the wood products industry.
